Rwandatel Not Out Yet, Says Mugisha

Rwandatel’s administrator, Richard Mugisha, in his first ever interview with the press since his appointment pointed out various matters regarding the situation of the company, including how many members of staff have been suspended so far.

The chief executive officer interview gave an account of all the transactions that need to be handled.

Mugisha added that what is clear is that Rwandatel Limited is still up and running  and the public and in particular, Rwandatel’s existing clients s hould make an effort to honour their obligations to Rwandatel and clear their outstanding bills with the confidence that their existing services shall not be halted.

Richard Mugisha was appointed as Rwandatel’s interim administrator by Rwanda’s commercial court to take charge of the company and to advise the court on whether it can be turned around or be liquidated. This followed the commencement of the insolvency proceedings by the office of the Registrar General.
