Rwanda’s president Paul Kagame Monday paid a one day visit in the southern province where he launched a state of the art ICT building at the National University of Rwanda.
Apart from launching the building, Kagame also presided over the opening of a new local market in Huye district. In the better part of the afternoon, Kagame was hosted to a set of question by the students at the national university of Rwanda, where no stone was left untouched regarding the education sector.
On the issue of the scrapped allowances and bursaries for university students, president Kagame explained boldly to the students that the country has other sectors to develop apart from the education sector, hence the reason for scrapping the students allowances.
The president further emphasized the issue of university students studying hard and giving dignity to themselves and their country.
