Bank of Kigali IPO Set for End of June

The initial public offer, IPO, for the Bank of Kigali is set for the end of June this year. The bank plans to sell just above 300 million shares in this IPO and says that at the moment it’s waiting for a valuation.
A prospectus is a disclosure document that contains all the information describing the business of the company, in this case-Bank of Kigali, its management structure, accounting policies, financial and operational performance and information about the economy of Rwanda.
This information is important as it gives potential investors an opportunity to assess whether an investment is appropriate or not. Proceeds from this IPO are expected to support the expansion of the bank’s investment portfolio including expanding its loan book.
