Journalists in Uganda over the weekend slapped a boycott on all government managed events following last week’s brutality on the journalists who were covering the return of opposition leader Kizza Besigye.
Announcing the boycott on Sunday, the head of human rights network for journalists and the Uganda journalist association announced that the untimely black out will continue until the government settles all medical bills incurred by the journalists who were beaten and also return their confiscated gadgets.
