Rwanda Considers Lowering Taxes on Fuel

It is confirmed that Rwanda is considering lowering taxes on oil imports in what is a move towards minimizing the impact of rising global fuel prices on the economy.

In the past four months, and in response to the sharp rise in international oil prices, local pump prices for both petrol and diesel went up by a significant percentage.

Minister of Trade and Industry, Monique Nsanzabaganwa confirmed the plans in an interview with Contact FM.
